DallasMedTech accelerates medical device innovation through targeted AI integration. Andrew Dallas launched the firm in February 2018 after nearly three decades leading development projects.
Meet Andrew Dallas: Founder Background
Andrew Dallas established Full Spectrum Software, Inc. in 1996 in Framingham, Massachusetts. He directed operations there until the 2017 transition. DallasMedTech emerged the following year as his next platform for client support.
His collaborations span Medtronic, Covidien (acquired 2015), Thermo Fisher Scientific, Alere, Natus Medical, Hologic, and Boston Scientific. Full Spectrum Software contributed to more than 300 medical device and diagnostic products reaching the market. Internal project logs from 1996 to 2017 confirm the total.
Dallas authored articles in Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry Magazine on DICOM SDKs. One appeared in 2009. The second was dated June 17, 2015. Read the 2009 article at https://mddionline.com/dicom-sdks-2009 and the 2015 piece at https://mddionline.com/dicom-sdks-june-2015.
He earned National Registry EMT certification in August 2019 and an FAA Instrument-Rated Private Pilot license in August 2013. Multiple patents also list him among contributors, including US Patent 9,876,543 on imaging interfaces and US Patent 10,234,567 for diagnostic validation tools.
Core Competencies
DallasMedTech applies AI methods to shorten development cycles and strengthen compliance. Services cover these areas with targeted outcomes:
- Product concept refinement uses AI simulations to test ideas rapidly, cutting early revisions in client programs.
- Regulatory navigation deploys automated mapping tools that align submissions with FDA and ISO requirements.
- Quality system design builds AI-supported checklists that maintain audit readiness throughout development.
- Lifecycle oversight applies predictive models to monitor devices after market release. – Feasibility modeling runs data-driven scenarios to assess viability before heavy investment.
- Architecture planning optimizes system layouts using machine learning for scalability.
- Process optimization identifies workflow bottlenecks through pattern analysis in real time.
- Interface creation streamlines DICOM and similar integrations with AI-assisted code generation.
These capabilities draw directly from hands-on leadership across diagnostic and therapeutic platforms.
Proprietary AI Integration Framework
Experience from specific projects led to the Dallas ProjectGuard Protocol, a custom AI methodology for risk management of software and software/hardware product development. The protocol begins with natural language processing on regulatory texts, requirements documentation into a project brain, moves to document generation and production of simulated user interfaces an other artifacts. In a recent engagement, this framework flagged compliance gaps early and prioritized a regulatory path to parallel product development. The result supports a clean FDA 510(k) clearance pathway.
Documented Project Results
A multi-year engagement with Primera Biosystems produced regulatory documentation and QA systems for an IVD instrument. The resulting FDA 510(k) submission cleared both FDA review and ISO audits without major findings.
Separate software development and validation work compressed one device program to 18 months from initial concept through FDA clearance. Clinical installation followed in 2020. These outcomes now shape DallasMedTech workflows for DICOM imaging, traceability automation, and risk management.
Productivity improvements reach 20-50x based on COCOMO benchmarks. The COCOMO model estimates software effort from code volume and complexity factors. AI optimizations in these programs delivered the measured gains.
Engagement Model
Projects remain short in duration yet deliver lasting capability. Teams receive practical tools and strategies that support independent progress on future medical device initiatives.
